Interesting question! So the reason I like TensorFlow is that PyTorch wasn’t around by the time I started my ML research. And I just happen to stick with it as it provided all the functionality I’ve needed so far. Furthermore, I really love the community support available for TF.
But I agree that PyTorch is something I should pay attention to!
